getting laundry done, Charlie and the kids were raking leaves in the yard, buying groceries for this next week! Ouch that hurt, I was out of most everything so my bill was well over $300 by the time I was finished! Good thing God is our provider! I don’t understand why these people who live in my house think they have to eat, everyday! We have the New Life House girls coming for the service in the morning. Always good to have them and see what God is doing in their lives. We are especially tender towards them as our son was at Brush Creek with the Blakenships. He had a hard time when he came home, but the word of God is powerful and He is capable and faithful to bring them back from the dark places the enemy lures them to. Sending him there was a very difficult thing to do and it cost us emotionally a high price, as well as him. Sometimes as parents we have to do what is best for our children even though it hurts us to do so. And very well may hurt them for a season as well. I am far more concerned with their eternity than their present comfort. this evening I have listened to Michael as he plays the keyboard and sings praise songs in the music room, there was a time when I didn’t think he would ever come back, but God…I am so grateful that He is faithful and that he gave me my son back. If you have followed my blog then you know the hurt and truama of the last couple of years where Michael was concerned. And so you will also understand my heart of gratitude towards the Lord!
my son was kicked out of the school play, he had taken a part in the church christmas program and it is was considered a conflict of interest with the school play. Now the school play is this week and the church Christmas program isn’t until next month, practices have started but workable with school activities. I don’t get it? Do you? He missed practice on Sat, because he was at a college days event. I don’t know about you but I find this whole thing just a bit over the top. He was in the chorus, didn’t have a speaking part and obviously wasn’t a very important part of the chorus if he could be kicked out the day before performances start. I think possibly they just didn’t want him involved. Their loss our gain.
We are going to be in the Christmas production with Miami First Assembly this year. We are doing “The Gospel According to Scrooge” there are a lot of people in this production and the costuming is amazing! The set is great and the fun is non stop! We are having a ball!! Been a long time since we have been in a production this big as a family. The show dates are Dec. 9 – 12th! Come out and enjoy the show!
I have been doing the hcG protocol. These are my results so far.
I started this in August 2010 This is after the first round of hcG! It is getting hard to find clothes to wear! I am wearing a size 10 dress now and my size 14 pants are huge on me. My scrubs are all to big and I am trying to decide if I am going to buy more or just go with everyday clothes all the time for work. Cool problem to have!
was supposed to be last week but Pastor Trudy wasn’t going to be there so we put it off to this Sunday. We have some pretty amazing people on staff at Gateway! We have been here in Welch for almost 4 yrs now and we have come to love these people very deeply. The team that is put together here has been through some tough times and are still at this time going through some incredibly hard times. Pastor Lynda and Darrell’s son Garrett was dianosed with Leukemia this year, Charlie and I have walked a heartbreaking road with our son Michael, Pastor’s Mike and Katie have found themselves in a transition period with Mikes job just this last week. Pastor’s Pat and Trudy and us have sent kids off to college this year. Pastor John and Christina had their first baby, sweet little Kyndal Marie! This year has been a mixture of joy and sadness. May I just say that each of you are a blessing from God and I am honored to have you in my life!
