Funerals…there is sadness at the passing of someone you love and joy, if they knew Jesus, because then we know they are with HIM! All of these emotions flowing, tears, laughter, memories. I went to my Grandfathers funeral in January and now here in June I went to his wife Ruby’s funeral. She didn’t last long after Grandpa died. They both lived long and productive lives and were loved by each of us. The most important thing is that they knew Jesus and are with Him now, celebrating and rejoicing in young and healthy bodies (at least that is how I see it) no one really knows what happens when we die, everyone who knows is dead! But we do have the promise of the Word of God that when we die we are with Him. Do you know Him? Have you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior? There is nothing like a funeral to bring to light the fact that life is short and that we don’t know when our time will come. At my high school reunion I was shocked to find out that there were so many from my class that have died already, car accidents, cancer, etc… If you don’t know my Jesus and you want to know Him I will lead you to Him. He is ready to meet you and He longs for you to come to Him. He dosn’t want anyone to perish but to have everlasting life with Him. However He has left that decision up to each one of us, and we can choose life or we can choose death. To choose life you must choose Jesus all other roads lead to death and eternal seperation from God, and a devils hell. Keep in mind that not choosing is still choosing. What will you choose today?
